Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog. I’m 24-year-old and I started this blog almost 10 years ago!
In 2020, I finished my masters degree in Public Relations at the University of Sunderland. Prior to that, I did an undergraduate degree in Sports Journalism (also at Sunderland), and I’ve been writing about football for almost 10 years now.
Quite a few of my games will involve Easington Colliery where I’m press officer/programme editor/media man/anything else that needs doing!
As I’ve recently started working in the South Bank/Grangetown area of Middlesbrough, I’ve only recently got a car. Before that, I had to rely on public transport or lifts to get to games.
I’d say I’m a part-time groundhopper. At the time of updating this page, I’ve seen games at 241 different venues.
Although I don’t groundhop as much as I used to, you’ll always still see me at the annual Scottish groundhop!
Until the start of the 2016-2017 season, I was part of Horden CW. My duties there were very similar to what I do at Easington. Unfortunately, that came to an end when they became Darlington Reserves (who are now Darlington Town). As well as doing Easington’s programme, I’m also programme editor at the new Horden Community Welfare club.
I’ve written for numerous different websites and matchday programmes including quite a few of the local newspapers in the north east.
Should I do a write up about your club, feel free to use it.
In the 2021-2022 season, I managed to get to a personal best of 209 games. Prior to that, my record was 190 games in the 2015-2016 season. That was followed by 181 games in 2016-2017, but 2017-2018 wasn’t as big with 141 games. In the 2018-2019 season, I managed to take in 155 games, and in the COVID-19 hit 2019-2020 season, I managed to get to 130 games before the season came to a sudden halt in March. The 2020-2021 season was massively affected my the pandemic, and that limited me to 83 games. The 2021-2022 season definitely made up for the lack of games in the couple of seasons prior!
I’ve had season tickets at Sunderland and Hartlepool United in the past, but it’s very easy to become disillusioned with the professional game! I will still go to a few professional games, but within non-league is where I’m usually found!

Thanks, I might get to Carlisle some time next season. I want to get to Celtic Nation more though. I was at Carlisle last season when on Boxing day they beat Hartlepool 4-0.
