About me

Hello, and thank you for visiting my blog. I’m a 20-year-old student with a passion for non-league football.

I’m currently in my third year studying Sports Journalism at the University of Sunderland, but I’ve been writing about football for four years now.

Quite a few of my games will involve Easington Colliery where I’m press officer/programme editor/media man/anything else that needs doing!

Although I’ve now got a licence, I generally rely on public transport to get to games.

I’d say I’m a part-time groundhopper. At the time of writing, I’ve seen games at 148 different venues.

Although I don’t groundhop as much as I used to, you’ll always still see me at the annual Scottish groundhop!

Until the start of the 2016-2017 season, I was part of Horden CW. My duties there were very similar to what I do at Easington. Unfortunately, that came to an end when they became Darlington Reserves.

I’ve written for numerous different websites and matchday programmes.

Should I do a write up about your club, feel free to use it.

In the 2015-2016 season, I managed to get to a personal best of 190 games. That was followed by 181 games in 2016-2017, but 2017-2018 wasn’t as big with 141 games.

I’ve had season tickets at Sunderland and Hartlepool United in the past, but it’s very easy to become disillusioned with the professional game!

  3. I have enjoyed reading about your travels this season, Connor. I am a Hartlepool United season ticket holder myself but you have inspired me to get to more Northern League games next season. Keep up the great work
